With the year almost coming to a close, I sadly have to inform you about Bandai Namco officially delaying Digimon Survive. It was pretty evident that this would happen, but let us go over the news quickly, shall we?

Digimon Survive delayed yet again

As the headline suggests, Digimon Survive has been delayed yet again. According to TOEI Animation's latest financial report, the release date has been pushed back from its intended release timeframe in 2021 to "Q3 2022 and beyond." Please note that Q3 does not pertain to the 3rd quarter of 2022, but their fiscal year, which ends on 31 March 2022.

As I do every few days, I was looking for Digimon Survive information once again today, and for a change, I found some! About two days ago, Toei Animations released their financial report for the last fiscal year, in which they shared their company growth, sales, brand reach, and much more with their investors. In addition, they also released their roadmap for the coming year in this document - and among them, Digimon Survive's planned release date!

What was up in 2020, and what is next for 2021?

Oh boy, initially, I had scheduled this post for early January, and look at the date now. As of writing this, it is March 14th. We are already three months into the year, and only now can I take the time to write down a couple of passages. 2020 has been a heck of a year for pretty well-known reasons, and 2021 seems to follow in its footsteps. But we are gamers, and you are browsing Grindosaur - so enough with this real-life nonsense; let us focus on what went on behind the scenes and what I have in store for you in the upcoming year!
